Staff Product Designer, UI focused
Harness is seeking a Staff Product Designer with a strong focus on user interface (UI) design to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual and interactive aspects of our developer-facing products, ensuring a high standard of polish, consistency, and usability across complex workflows. As a Staff Product Designer, you will own the presentation layer and interaction quality of major product areas. Your responsibilities will include designing refined, scalable UI patterns for complex workflows in CI/CD, cloud, and developer tooling environments. You will collaborate closely with the Design Systems team to evolve components, patterns, and tokens that elevate the quality bar across the Harness platform. Additionally, you will drive design work from concept through execution, partnering with Product Management and Engineering to deliver high-quality user experiences.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on product design experience, including significant experience designing enterprise or developer-facing software. A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI and interaction design craft with high polish is essential. Expertise in visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and interaction design is required, along with experience designing complex systems that scale across features and teams. Familiarity with cloud platforms or developer tools (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, CI/CD, DevOps tooling) is also important. The candidate should be highly opinionated about quality, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and possess strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence without authority.
Harness offers a competitive salary range of €81,000 to €105,000 per year, along with comprehensive health benefits, generous paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
