Senior Software Engineer-CCM
Harness is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Cloud Cost Management (CCM) team, focusing on developing and scaling our Predictive Orchestration engine. This role involves building systems that deeply understand cloud billing dynamics, enabling automated cost optimization for our clients. Harness is an AI-driven software delivery platform company, dedicated to accelerating and securing the software development lifecycle.
In this position, you will develop and refine models that process large-scale historical billing data to predict usage trends and anomalies with high precision. You will build the backend intelligence that calculates the optimal mix of Savings Plans versus Reserved Instances, implementing break-even logic and risk modeling to prevent customer over-commitment. Additionally, you will develop the "Executioner" service that programmatically interacts with cloud provider APIs to automate the purchase and exchange of commitments.
The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of experience developing scalable, distributed backend services, preferably in Golang. A strong background in building complex distributed systems and a solid understanding of time-series analysis or machine learning pipelines are essential. High proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is required, along with the ability to take a feature from design to production, building state machines or workflow engines to manage external resource lifecycles.
Harness offers competitive salary, equity, flexible work arrangements, and comprehensive healthcare benefits. Employees enjoy end-to-end ownership of their projects and work alongside a leadership team with a history of building multi-billion dollar technical powerhouses.
Joining Harness means becoming part of a company that values innovation and efficiency in software delivery. With a global team across 14 offices and 25 countries, Harness is shaping the future of AI software delivery, providing ample opportunities for professional growth and development.
