Staff Backend Software Engineer
Tebra, a leading provider of all-in-one EHR+ platforms for independent healthcare practices, is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to join their Revenue Cycle Management team. This remote position focuses on modernizing Tebra's billing platform by integrating AI capabilities to enhance operational workflows and customer outcomes.
In this role, the engineer will design and implement scalable backend systems, incorporating AI features such as summarization, extraction, classification, recommendation, and workflow automation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams—including product, design, data, and operations—is essential to develop solutions that address real business challenges. The position also involves integrating cloud technologies to optimize performance and establish effective monitoring practices.
Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot for building secure backend systems. Experience in developing RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and integrating AI models into existing systems is required. Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with familiarity with cloud-native technologies like containers and CI/CD pipelines, is also necessary.
