Sr Technical Program Manager
Motive is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the Equipment Monitoring (EM) team, which focuses on connected-asset products such as asset gateways, beacons, and environmental and door sensors. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end delivery of EM programs across cloud software, including backend, frontend, and mobile applications. The position is hybrid, based in San Francisco, California, or Seattle, Washington.

You will coordinate cross-team dependencies across embedded hardware, IoT/Platform, Product Operations, Product Marketing Management, Design, and Support, working closely with hardware TPMs on device and international rollouts. Your responsibilities also include managing the entire program lifecycle from kickoff to customer launch and adoption, tracking milestones, identifying risks and trade-offs, and facilitating communication through regular updates and business reviews.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in technical program management, with a strong technical background to engage effectively with engineers on architecture, trade-offs, and delivery risks. A proven track record in leading large, complex, multi-team cloud software programs with significant cross-team dependencies and measurable customer or business impact is essential. Strong organizational and communication skills are required, along with the ability to lead and coach distributed teams and translate technical details into clear updates for leadership. Experience with tools like Jira and Confluence, a solid understanding of agile methodologies, and the ability to use automation tools to enhance program visibility are also important.
