Sr. Technical Accounting & Reporting Manager
Gong is seeking a Senior Technical Accounting & Reporting Manager to join its dynamic finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the company's financial reporting aligns with US GAAP standards and supports its rapid growth trajectory. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, translating complex accounting guidance into practical solutions and collaborating closely with business, finance, and technology leaders.
Key responsibilities include acting as the subject matter expert on technical accounting matters such as stock-based compensation, business combinations, and lease accounting. The role involves researching and documenting accounting conclusions, preparing technical memos, and supporting external financial reporting through the preparation and review of disclosures and financial statements. Additionally, the manager will play a significant role in IPO readiness activities, liaising with external auditors, and designing scalable accounting policies and internal controls.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, along with a CPA certification. A minimum of 10 years of combined experience in public accounting and corporate technical accounting roles within publicly traded global corporations is required. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, excellent communication skills, and demonstrable leadership abilities are essential. Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, Workiva, and Shareworks is also preferred.
