Sr. Product Design Manager, Travel
Engine is seeking a Senior Product Design Manager to lead the end-to-end booking experience within our Travel division. This role involves guiding a team of designers and collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to shape strategy and deliver impactful work. As a leadership position, it offers significant business accountability and the opportunity to influence Engine's growth trajectory.
In this role, you will oversee the design vision for Engine's booking experience, aiming to make it smarter, faster, and more delightful. Responsibilities include mentoring a team of 3-6 product designers, setting creative direction, and ensuring clarity, craft, and consistency across all travel interfaces. You will transform insights and product goals into intuitive experiences, collaborate with cross-functional teams to address traveler needs, and champion design's role in driving business outcomes.
Ideal candidates will have mastery over the full product lifecycle, from shaping product strategy to executing build-ready designs. Strong skills in visual, interaction, and UX design are essential, with a focus on clarity, utility, and delight. Experience in managing complex stakeholder groups and leading teams through hiring, coaching, and elevating design standards is required. Proficiency in Figma, design systems, and emerging tools like Pencil/Cursor is expected, along with the ability to communicate strategic design decisions effectively.
Engine offers a competitive base salary ranging from $205,955 to $285,000 USD, with total compensation potentially including equity and/or variable pay.
