Solutions Architect - Federal
The Solutions Architect - Federal role at Harness involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement DevSecOps, FinOps, and Engineering Excellence solutions for enterprise customers. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with Harness Engineering and various customer functions, such as DevOps, SRE, Cloud, Finance, and Engineering Analytics teams. Key responsibilities include engaging with customers' technical teams to analyze and understand current DevSecOps/CI/CD/Policy & Template Governance tools and processes, architecting and implementing optimized Harness setups for integration, scale, and repeatability, and interfacing with customers' executive and leadership teams to align technical goals with business objectives. The role also involves providing positive anecdotes from each engagement, crafting best practices around customer implementations, converting them into automation, and creating reference patterns. Additionally, the Solutions Architect will document and implement processes and solutions for onboarding success, contribute to product design, assist in the Harness Community, and build an advanced technical knowledge base. Consulting on DevSecOps/CI/CD best practices and interacting with customers on a professional, meaningful, and technically deep level are also essential aspects of the role.
The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience. They should possess 5+ years of experience with DevOps and familiarity with multiple solutions such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Bamboo, TeamCity, TravisCI, Bitbucket, Jira, ServiceNow, Helm, Kustomize, PCF, OpenShift, AWS, GCP, Azure, Terraform, CloudFormation, Linux, Python, Bash, PowerShell, AppDynamics, New Relic, Dynatrace, Instana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, and Sumo Logic. Experience delivering custom solutions to customers of all sizes, whether internal or external, is preferred. The candidate should be a perpetual learner, thrive in a team setting, enjoy sharing experiences and solutions, consistently pursue excellence and success in all tasks, and be detail-oriented and analytical with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A results-driven individual with a hunger for accomplishment in fast-paced environments and a knack for optimizing processes is desired. Willingness to travel up to 25% and possessing security clearance to work with customers in the Federal space and Government agencies are required.
