Software Engineering, Senior Engineer
Black Duck Software, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software QA Engineer to join our QA Automation engineering team. In this role, you will ensure the code quality of our Continuous Dynamic product line by performing both manual and automated tests of web applications. This position offers the opportunity to work within a high-impact team dedicated to delivering secure, high-quality software solutions.
As a Senior Software QA Engineer, you will collaborate closely with QA Automation engineers to deliver high-quality web applications. Your responsibilities will include executing and maintaining automation suites, rebasing and expanding automation jobs in CI/CD pipelines, and gaining hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Additionally, you will perform acceptance, regression, usability, and exploratory testing to validate product functionality and user experience.
The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of hands-on QA experience in web application testing within Agile/Scrum environments. Strong knowledge of programming concepts, proficiency with Linux command-line tools, and scripting experience (preferably in Python) are essential. Practical experience with web automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver and Robot Framework, as well as API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, is required. Familiarity with defect tracking systems like JIRA or Bugzilla, and experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions, are also necessary. A BE/BTech/MCA/4-year BS degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible, as well as creating test cases based on design documentation. Familiarity with AWS-hosted QA environments for deployment, automation, and validation tasks is advantageous. Exposure to security testing or application security tools is a plus.
