Software Engineer 3
Black Duck Software, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer 3 to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. As a recognized leader in application security, Black Duck provides comprehensive solutions to help organizations build secure, high-quality software. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of cloud-native software solutions and batch job orchestration systems using Go, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, resilient, and efficient Kubernetes-based SaaS enterprise applications. Your day-to-day tasks will include collaborating closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to define technical solutions and deliverables. You will also conduct code reviews, perform thorough testing to identify and resolve issues, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software that meets business requirements and maintains high performance in production environments.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with 6-9 years of experience in software development. Proficiency in Go is essential, along with strong experience in PostgreSQL, including performance optimization and scaling. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, and a solid understanding of Linux Kernel, cgroups, and namespaces are required. Familiarity with container orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes, is highly desirable, and certifications like CKA or CKAD are a plus. Additional qualifications include experience with distributed microservices architecture, messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ, and web development frameworks and services such as gRPC and RESTful APIs.
