Software Engineering Manager - CD
Harness is seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead the development of innovative features in Continuous Delivery (CD). This role involves guiding a distributed engineering team across multiple geographies to enhance our platform's capabilities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with customers to address escalations, refine feature requirements, and make strategic product decisions that shape the evolution of our CD offering.
Key responsibilities include staying aligned with customer needs, building features that attract new users, and expanding adoption among existing customers. The Engineering Manager will work with exceptional engineers and architects, driving key technology decisions that distinguish our product in the market. As a technical leader, the role involves championing code quality, performance, and best practices to ensure robust, scalable, and production-ready code. Additionally, the manager will define forward-looking roadmaps and inspire the team to innovate and push boundaries.
The ideal candidate has over three years of experience leading high-performing engineering teams and more than five years of experience building SaaS applications in backend roles using Java or Go. A proven track record of assembling and scaling world-class engineering organizations is essential. The candidate should be comfortable leading teams and working with customers across time zones, have a strong command of managing production incidents, and possess hands-on experience with various cloud platforms or Kubernetes. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is required.
