Software Engineer, Information Systems
Muon Space is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Information Systems team. This role involves developing mission-critical internal software and platforms aimed at reducing manual and repetitive tasks. The Information Systems team manages a comprehensive suite of custom and vendor software, data platforms, and automated tools that enhance the efficiency of various teams, including manufacturing and launch operations.
Key responsibilities include hands-on development of internal software using modern methodologies and tools. The engineer will own the end-to-end software development process, from product concept to delivery and maintenance for internal customers. Additionally, the role involves designing the overall information systems architecture, making technology selections, and deciding between building or buying solutions. The engineer must be adaptable, taking on meaningful responsibilities as company needs evolve, and assist in integrating core systems such as custom ERP, PLM, MES, and Supply Chain to automate processes seamlessly.
The ideal candidate will have a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years of full-stack software engineering experience. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript, along with libraries like React and Angular, is required. Experience with various database technologies (SQL/NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB) and developing, versioning, and optimizing REST and GraphQL APIs is essential. Excellent communication and presentation skills are also necessary, along with enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment with new challenges each week.
The salary range for this role is $156,000 - $186,000, plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location as assessed during the interview process.
