Staff Product Manager, Software
Muon Space is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the development of its commercial Data Products and the Muon Sim platform. Reporting to the VP of Product, this role involves making critical productization decisions that will shape the company's data business for years to come. The position requires a senior-level individual contributor capable of engaging with platform and infrastructure leadership as a peer and managing adjacent product surfaces until the portfolio scales.
Key responsibilities include owning the commercial product strategy for Muon's Data Products portfolio, defining pricing architecture, packaging, and customer tiering, and establishing data SLA tiers aligned with downlink prioritization. The role also involves driving the transition from bespoke data contracts to standardized, tiered packaging, conducting customer interviews to gather feedback on product-market fit, and analyzing deal outcomes to identify product gaps and competitive advantages.
The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of product management experience, with a proven track record in data, SaaS, or API products within complex technical environments. Essential qualifications include experience in pricing architecture, packaging, and SLA design for multi-segment data products, strong fluency in working with infrastructure and platform engineering leadership, and expertise in defining and operating customer-facing data delivery systems. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required, with an advanced degree preferred.
The base salary range for this role is $211,000 – $254,000, depending on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
