Software Engineer II
Xometry is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Partner Experience Technology Organization. In this role, you will guide software implementation across multiple engineering teams, influencing decisions throughout our technology organization. Your expertise will help build fast, reliable, and intuitive solutions that empower our partners to manage jobs, streamline operations, and maximize their growth potential within our manufacturing marketplace.
As a Software Engineer II, you will take ownership of assigned problem statements and drive them to completion with guidance from senior engineers. Your responsibilities include participating actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle—design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. You will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while improving existing systems and features. Additionally, you will collaborate effectively across teams, communicate progress and blockers clearly, and contribute to a positive, learning-oriented team culture.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years of professional front-end software development experience in a fast-paced, product-driven environment. Strong technical expertise in frontend development with React and TypeScript is essential, with a focus on scalable UI design and usability. Experience with AWS is required, including deploying, monitoring, and scaling production workloads. Marketplace product experience is highly desirable, with an understanding of scaling multi-sided platforms. Proven leadership skills, the ability to set technical direction, mentor engineers across levels, and influence product and business decisions are also important. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are necessary, as you will engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, from junior individual contributors to executives.
The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $78,000 to $170,000 annually, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
