SMB Account Executive
The SMB Account Executive at Similarweb is responsible for managing the entire sales cycle, from initial discovery calls to closing deals, with small to medium-sized business prospects. This role is integral to expanding Similarweb's market share and involves close collaboration with the Inside Sales team to develop and nurture new accounts. Similarweb, a leader in digital intelligence solutions, empowers over 4,300 global customers, including industry giants like Google, eBay, and Adidas, to make data-driven decisions that enhance their digital strategies.
Key responsibilities include managing both inbound leads (approximately 80%) and outbound prospects (around 20%), effectively communicating Similarweb's unique value proposition through prospecting, discovery, and solution proposals. The role also involves maintaining accurate forecasts and managing sales activities within Salesforce, as well as engaging with prospects at the director or C-level executive level to drive sales forward.
The ideal candidate is fluent in English, with additional European languages considered a bonus. A minimum of three years' experience in sales, business development, or consulting is required. Strong presentation skills, confidence in leading the sales process, and the ability to handle customer objections are essential. The candidate should be highly collaborative, with a direct and honest approach to delivering customer success. Previous experience selling SaaS products or data subscriptions and proficiency in Salesforce are also necessary.
Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $70,000 to $75,000, with total on-target earnings (OTE) typically between $140,000 and $170,000. The compensation structure is a 48/52 base-to-variable split, with variable compensation tied to sales performance metrics. Top performers have the potential to earn between $200,000 and $300,000 annually.
