Senior Solutions Engineer, Injection Molding
Xometry is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer specializing in injection molding to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our sales and engineering teams to provide tailored solutions to clients, leveraging your deep technical knowledge of injection molding processes. Xometry is a leading digital manufacturing marketplace, connecting innovators with manufacturers to bring ideas to life.
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include conducting discovery meetings to uncover business and technical requirements that align with Xometry's solutions. You will consult with prospects and customers to identify appropriate applications of our technology, define business cases, and propose solutions. Demonstrating Xometry's capabilities, including our proprietary software quoting platform, will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will support internal teams by providing feedback and content for marketing collateral through case studies and serve as an industry thought leader at events and webinars.
The ideal candidate will possess an engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical or Plastics Engineering, or a related technical field. You should have 5 to 7+ years of experience in an engineering or technical role, with hands-on knowledge of various injection molding processes such as plastic injection molding, compression molding, overmolding, insert molding, and metal injection molding. Strong interpersonal skills, project management experience, and proficiency in CAD and technical drawing are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required, along with a willingness to travel up to 20%.
Xometry offers a competitive compensation package, with an estimated base salary range of $101,000 to $150,000 annually, plus commission.
