Senior Solutions Engineer - CNC/Sheet
Xometry is seeking an experienced and charismatic engineer for a critical customer-facing Solutions Engineer role. This position supports the Sales team by providing insights and feedback from the aerospace and defense engineering and manufacturing sectors. The role combines customer engagement, technical expertise, and project management, reporting to the Pre-Sales Engineering community, which is jointly led by Sales and Operations.
Key responsibilities include partnering with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention, organizing and executing major projects, and proactively addressing potential manufacturing challenges, including design for manufacturability. The role also involves assisting Pre-Sales Engineering with knowledge gathering and compiling competitive quotes, as well as providing project management and oversight on complex opportunities.
Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in CNC/Sheet engineering and manufacturing roles, along with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Expertise in manufacturing principles, including drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, is required. Experience with additive manufacturing, injection molding, CNC machining, and sheet metal fabrication is also essential. Familiarity with compliance and certification requirements such as ISO9001, AS9100d, ITAR, and NIST is necessary. The role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to travel 25%-35% of the time.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $101,000 to $150,000 annually, plus commission, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
