Senior Solutions Engineer - Automotive Production
Xometry is seeking an experienced and charismatic Senior Solutions Engineer - Automotive Production for a critical customer-facing role. This position supports the Sales team by providing insights and feedback from the automotive and production engineering community. The role combines customer engagement, technical expertise, and project management, reporting to the Pre-Sales Engineering community, which is jointly led by Sales and Operations.
Key responsibilities include partnering with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention, managing major projects from discovery to execution, and proactively identifying and addressing potential manufacturing challenges. The role also involves assisting Pre-Sales Engineering with knowledge gathering and compiling competitive quotes, as well as providing project management and oversight on complex opportunities.
Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing and program management roles, along with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience using Xometry's services from a customer perspective is preferred. A strong understanding of manufacturing principles, including drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT), is essential. Particularly strong experience in injection molding is required, with additional experience in stamping, castings, and forgings considered a bonus. Familiarity with industry certifications such as ISO9001, IATF 16949, and APQP/PPAP is also important.
The estimated base salary range for this role is $101,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
