Senior Solutions Engineer, Aerospace & Defense
Xometry is seeking an experienced and charismatic engineer for a critical customer-facing Senior Solutions Engineer role. This position supports the Sales team by providing insights and feedback from the aerospace and defense engineering and manufacturing community. The role combines customer engagement, technical expertise, and project management, reporting to the Pre-Sales Engineering community, which is jointly led by Sales and Operations.
Key responsibilities include partnering with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention, managing major projects, and proactively addressing potential manufacturing challenges. The role also involves assisting Pre-Sales Engineering with knowledge gathering and compiling competitive quotes, as well as providing project management and oversight on complex opportunities.
Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in aerospace and defense engineering and manufacturing roles, with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience using Xometry’s services from a customer perspective is preferred. A strong understanding of manufacturing principles, particularly in CNC machining, and familiarity with compliance requirements such as ISO9001 and AS9100d are essential. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in CRM systems like Salesforce and tools such as Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, are also required.
The estimated base salary range for this role is $101,000 to $150,000 annually, plus commission, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
