Senior Software Engineer, Portfolio Accounting
As a Senior Software Engineer on Ridgeline's Portfolio Accounting team, you will play a pivotal role in developing a fast, scalable accounting engine that supports a full range of asset classes and offers global market coverage. In this position, you will be responsible for contributing accounting domain knowledge, design skills, and technical expertise to a collaborative, cross-functional team. Your day-to-day activities will include participating in the entire software development process—from requirements gathering and design reviews to coding and observing how the product performs for customers. You will also impact a developing tech stack based on AWS back-end services and participate in creating developer-based automation that leads to scalable, high-quality applications.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a background in building cloud-native applications on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. A degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline is required. Experience with production instrumentation, observability, and performance monitoring is essential, as is a willingness to learn new technologies while developing expertise in the business domain. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels are also important.
