Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

In this role, the Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling user-facing web applications that power Modern Health’s core product experiences. This includes developing and maintaining backend services and APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) that support user-facing applications and service-to-service interactions. The engineer will also build and refine frontend components using modern frameworks like React, focusing on usability, performance, and overall user experience. Additionally, the role involves modeling and managing application data using relational databases such as PostgreSQL, ensuring clean and well-structured data design.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant software development experience in general-purpose programming languages, with a minimum of 2 years in full-stack web development using modern frameworks, ideally React, TypeScript, and Python. Experience in building and maintaining GraphQL and/or REST APIs, scaling relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), and writing performant queries is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work effectively with and mentor a distributed development team, and a passion for building solutions that improve the lives of others are also required.
