Senior Software Engineer, D2C

Sony Music Entertainment is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Product Design Engineering and Global Operations (PDEGO) team in London. This role focuses on developing technology that supports artist, label, and merchandise stores worldwide, contributing to Sony's mission of empowering artists and record labels across the globe.

The Senior Software Engineer will work with a cross-functional team to build products that enhance user experiences. Responsibilities include contributing to all tiers of the architecture, writing clean and maintainable code, understanding client requirements, designing and executing visions in collaboration with the team, participating in system re-architecture and technical design, and mentoring junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning.

Candidates should have over 8 years of software engineering experience, particularly in implementing distributed systems and scripting languages like Python and JavaScript. Experience with frontend applications using TypeScript, React, and GraphQL, various database technologies such as Neo4j, Kafka, MySQL, Snowflake, and Elasticsearch, as well as familiarity with low-latency techniques, microservices, APIs, and AWS Cloud technologies, is essential. Experience with Shopify development is a plus.
