Senior Security Engineer, Device/Hardware

The Senior Security Engineer, Device/Hardware will be a key member of Motive's Product Security Team, collaborating closely with Engineering and Hardware teams. This role focuses on integrating security measures into hardware products, ensuring secure design, development, and deployment processes. The position is available for remote work in Canada or a hybrid setup in Toronto.
Key responsibilities include establishing hardware and embedded security baselines, conducting design reviews, threat modeling, and developing secure components such as libraries and frameworks. The engineer will also assess hardware security risks throughout the product lifecycle, lead security architecture reviews, and define security requirements for hardware platforms and embedded systems.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in hardware security, with a strong background in integrating security into new devices and platforms. Proficiency in programming languages like Python and C/C++ is required, along with a deep understanding of hardware root of trust, secure boot, and device identity concepts. Experience in cloud security, runtime security, supply chain security, and application security best practices is also essential.
