Senior Product Designer, Data Products
Sony Music Entertainment is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the design and user experience of our Data Products within the Product Design Engineering & Global Operations (PDEGO) organization. This strategic role focuses on transforming complex music consumption data into clear, actionable insights for artists and record labels across web and mobile applications. The position is based in our London office.
The Senior Product Designer will own the end-to-end design and UX for the Data Products portfolio, simplifying large datasets into intuitive experiences. Responsibilities include leading discovery efforts with stakeholders to understand business needs, partnering with Product Managers and Engineers to shape roadmaps, and guiding two contract designers on data-focused initiatives. Additionally, the role involves contributing to the broader design organization by mentoring peers and evolving design systems and best practices.
Candidates should possess a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in data visualization, information architecture, and simplifying data-heavy systems. Proven experience in designing and shipping products across web and mobile platforms is essential, along with advanced prototyping skills and strong communication abilities. Experience in managing or leading other designers and conducting end-to-end discovery processes is also required. An interest or experience in using AI tools to enhance design workflows is considered a plus.
