Senior Platform Engineer
As a Senior Platform Engineer at Talon.One, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our Internal Developer Platform, focusing on user needs and systematic improvements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and evolve shared capabilities, including CI/CD workflows, cloud foundations, and operational tooling, aiming to reduce friction and provide engineers with a seamless path from idea to production.
Your primary responsibilities will include leading platform initiatives from conception to production, developing plugins and integrations on our existing Internal Developer Platform (Backstage), and designing reusable tools and services to help teams deploy and scale their services safely. You will actively engage with internal users to understand their needs, validate assumptions, and translate feedback into platform improvements.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on platform, backend, or infrastructure-related work. Proficiency in Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures, practical experience with Internal Developer Platforms, and a solid understanding of CI/CD and modern deployment workflows are essential. Experience with cloud providers, preferably GCP, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Terragrunt is also required.
