Senior Manager, Category Management
Xometry is seeking a Senior Manager, Category Management to lead and expand its Additive Manufacturing business. This role involves defining strategic goals, executing tactical plans, and managing key business metrics within the Additive category. The position is based in Boston or the Maryland/DC/Northern Virginia area.
The Senior Manager will develop and manage category strategies aligned with Xometry's business objectives. Responsibilities include overseeing a portfolio of Additive-focused suppliers, setting strategic goals, negotiating business terms, and reviewing performance. The role also involves analyzing supplier and category performance to determine tactical next steps and strategic vision. Frequent negotiations with existing suppliers to optimize performance and cost base, including pricing and promotional programs, are key aspects of the position. Additionally, the manager will identify sales, merchandising, and operational opportunities, collaborating with internal teams to drive change across departments such as Logistics, Operations, Sales, and Customer Service.
Candidates should possess an undergraduate degree, preferably in business-related disciplines. A deep understanding of the Additive industry is advantageous. The role requires a proven track record in developing stakeholder relationships, collaborative negotiation, and driving multi-departmental projects. An analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making is essential. Successful candidates will have demonstrated success in building business relationships, leading commercial negotiations, and possess excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Slides, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, is required. Experience in eCommerce or management consulting is beneficial.
The estimated base salary range for this role is $108,000 to $140,000 annually, plus an annual bonus, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
