Continental is seeking a (Senior) Legal Operations Manager to join its dynamic legal team in Hannover, within the Tires sector. This pivotal role focuses on optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal department's operations, leveraging expertise in legal processes, technology, and project management.
Key responsibilities include leading and managing strategic global legal projects that support the organization's objectives, optimizing legal spend, managing outside counsel relationships and billing, developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) for the global legal department, and implementing legal technology solutions to improve workflow efficiency. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline legal processes and reduce risks, staying current with legal operations best practices and emerging technologies, and working with senior leadership to identify and mitigate legal risks.
The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Business, Law, or a related field, or possesses a comparable qualification. Proven experience in legal operations or a related field, preferably in a corporate legal department or law firm, is essential. Strong project management skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and excellent analytical skills are required. The candidate should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of legal industry trends and best practices, and an understanding of the legal technology landscape. Legal Operations certification (e.g., CLOC) is a plus. Business fluency in English and German, both written and spoken, is necessary, along with international experience and an understanding of different cultures.
