Continental is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions to join its Central Law Department in Hannover, Germany. As a key member of the legal team, the successful candidate will provide legal advice on strategic projects and transactions within the Tire Sector, including acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.

The role involves advising during the evaluation phase of transactions, managing legal due diligence, preparing and negotiating transaction agreements, and assisting in obtaining regulatory approvals. Additionally, the Senior Legal Counsel will support the signing and closing processes, develop conduct rules for transition periods, and oversee post-merger activities. Managing external counsel and legal budgets is also a key responsibility.

Candidates must be fully qualified lawyers with bar admission and possess several years of professional experience in a law firm or corporation, ideally with a focus on Corporate/M&A. Strong communication and negotiation skills, business acumen, intercultural competence, and project management abilities are essential. Proficiency in German and English is required, with additional language skills considered advantageous. A willingness to travel as needed is also necessary.
