Senior Legal Counsel

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic legal guidance aligned with the company's objectives and risk appetite.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Group Legal team and Regional Leadership to implement the Legal Strategy within the region. Your responsibilities will include providing proactive, strategic, and commercially-focused legal advice to the Regional Country Board and Management team on key legal matters, such as corporate governance and regulatory compliance. You will also manage relationships with external law firms to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
The position requires a qualified Solicitor or Attorney with a current practicing certificate and a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience, including significant experience in senior, in-house legal roles within global organizations. A proven track record in leading and managing a legal team is essential. Extensive experience in Corporate and Commercial law, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance is required, along with in-depth knowledge of legal principles and legislative requirements within the jurisdiction where the business operates. Advanced negotiation skills are also necessary.
