(Senior) Legal Counsel - Antitrust (m/f/d) - REF88347X
Continental is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel with expertise in antitrust law to join its dynamic legal team in Hannover, Germany. As a key member of the Central Law Department, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal advice on all antitrust matters within the Tire Group Sector. The Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating various contracts and agreements, including supplier contracts, license agreements, and cooperation agreements, with a focus on both horizontal and vertical aspects. The role involves evaluating market dominance behaviors, structuring meetings with competitors, assessing association activities, and supporting M&A activities, including merger control filings. Additionally, the counsel will assist in cartel litigation, antitrust investigations, and represent Continental in relevant panels and task forces. Developing and implementing standards for contracts and other antitrust-related topics, communicating with antitrust authorities, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders are also key responsibilities.
The ideal candidate is a fully qualified lawyer with bar admission or a comparable qualification, possessing several years of practical experience in antitrust matters, including horizontal and vertical aspects, market dominance, cartel litigation, and antitrust investigations. Experience in the tire industry is advantageous. Strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English are essential, along with excellent negotiation skills and intercultural competence. A deep understanding of business, products, and markets, coupled with strategic thinking and outstanding organizational and analytical skills, is required. The candidate should be a strong team player, willing to work in an international environment, and open to travel as needed.
