Senior International Buyer
As a Senior International Buyer at ALO, you will collaborate closely with the North America Buying, International Planning, and Global Merchandising teams to drive the rapid growth of our international business. This role involves conducting detailed analyses of historical data and future trends to forecast unit sales for seasonal and carryover assortments. You will be expected to demonstrate leadership within the Buying Team and mentor junior members.
Key responsibilities include developing sales forecasts and unit plans for all carryover and seasonal style-colors in international markets, ensuring purchases align with financial targets and key performance indicators. You will present seasonal buying strategies to the Buying Director and leadership teams, manage financial elements such as Open-To-Buy and gross margin targets, and collaborate with the Merchandising team to develop seasonal assortment strategies. Additionally, you will analyze in-season and post-season sales to inform future actions and identify opportunities for carryover products and markdowns.
The ideal candidate will have a BA or BS degree and at least 7 years of experience in buying, planning, or merchandising. Experience with European and Asian markets is advantageous. Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills are essential, along with excellent prioritization and project management abilities. A positive, team-oriented attitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, are required. Experience in mentoring and managing team members is also desirable.
The base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 per year, with actual salaries varying based on factors such as location, experience, and performance. Additional rewards may include performance bonuses, long-term incentives, a paid time off policy, and other progressive benefits.
