Senior Gameplay Engineer
Wildlife Studios is seeking a talented and passionate Senior Gameplay Engineer to join our Marketing Art team in São Paulo, Brazil. As a Senior Engineer on the Playables Team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality playable ads that attract millions of new users to our games. This role also involves mentoring junior engineers, leading technical initiatives, and enhancing our frameworks and processes to ensure the delivery of scalable and creative interactive ads across multiple platforms.
In this position, you will develop industry-leading playable ads, provide regular updates on tasks and potential risks, and design reusable frameworks and tools to improve production efficiency. You will offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, conduct rigorous code reviews, and collaborate closely with artists, creative directors, product marketing specialists, and data analysts to align technical solutions with creative and business objectives. Additionally, you will drive innovation within the Playables team and foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a strong understanding of computer science concepts such as data structures, memory management, and algorithm analysis. Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and experience with PixiJS, ThreeJS, and Git are essential. Knowledge of shaders, experience with WebGL/WebGI, and an understanding of game design principles are also required. The candidate should have experience designing scalable architectures, leading technical initiatives, and optimizing performance across various devices.
