Senior Frontend Engineer, Courier Fleet Team
The Senior Frontend Engineer role within Wolt's Courier Fleet Team focuses on developing and enhancing DeliveryOS, a platform designed to optimize operations for external fleet partners and logistics managers across over 30 countries. Wolt, established in 2014, has expanded from food delivery to offering a wide range of services, operating in more than 500 cities globally. In 2022, Wolt joined forces with DoorDash, further broadening its reach and capabilities.
In this position, the engineer will be responsible for creating responsive and user-friendly interfaces for DeliveryOS using modern frameworks like React and TypeScript. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to translate designs and logistics requirements into functional features for external partners. The role also involves building and owning end-to-end features for the fleet management platform and implementing specific roadmap items for fleet couriers within the native Courier App. Utilizing AI-powered development workflows and coding agents to plan, review, and implement code changes systematically is a key aspect of the job. Additionally, the engineer will debug, test, and maintain codebases using tools like Playwright to ensure high reliability, performance, and accessibility across various browsers and devices.
Candidates should have proven experience in building customer-facing web applications with a focus on React.js and TypeScript. Proficiency in testing, specifically unit testing with Jest and React Testing Library, as well as end-to-end testing with Playwright, is required to ensure product stability. Experience or a strong interest in native mobile development (iOS/Swift or Android/Kotlin) is beneficial to support the fleet courier app roadmap. The role demands autonomous ownership, the ability to make technical decisions independently, and validate AI-assisted outputs to ensure a deep technical understanding. Strong analytical skills are necessary to navigate complex logistics workflows and maintain platform scalability and efficiency. Effective communication and collaboration skills are also essential for working with both internal stakeholders and external fleet partners.
The compensation package includes a combination of monthly pay and DoorDash Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), aligning the engineer's success with the company's growth.
