As the Engineering Manager for Edge Software at LVT, you will lead a high-performing technical team at the intersection of IoT, hardware, and Edge AI. This pivotal leadership role involves fostering a culture of innovation, bridging the gap between high-performance cloud services and edge-computing environments to ensure our nationwide distributed systems operate with uncompromising reliability. The position is based at our headquarters in American Fork, Utah, or our workspace in Seattle, Washington, with consideration for highly qualified fully remote candidates on a limited basis.

Key responsibilities include mentoring and leading a collaborative team of software engineers to deliver end-to-end edge solutions that meet LVT’s high standards for reliability. You will lead recruiting efforts to onboard top-tier engineering talent and facilitate continuous coaching and professional development within your team. Additionally, you will partner with Architects and Principal Engineers to drive the design of a robust edge platform capable of handling growing complexity, and collaborate closely with Product, Hardware, QA, and InfoSec teams to align engineering roadmaps with business needs.

The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years successfully managing direct reports in a high-growth environment. You should have a track record of deploying and optimizing deep learning models on resource-constrained hardware such as NVIDIA Jetson, ARM, or RISC-V. Proficiency in GoLang, C++, or similar languages, with experience in frameworks like Yocto and Zephyr, is essential. Experience shipping hardware-integrated software projects created jointly with JDM or ODM partners, as well as expertise in quantization (INT8/FP16), pruning, and knowledge distillation using frameworks like TensorRT, OpenVINO, or TensorFlow Lite, is highly desirable. Practical experience deploying and managing software across thousands of remotely distributed IoT devices and the ability to develop strategic plans that balance technical debt with the need for rapid, market-disrupting innovation are also important. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.

We believe you do your best work when your whole life is supported. We invest in our crew’s health, families, and financial futures with a benefits package designed to support you inside and outside the office.
