Senior Director, AI & Data Engineering
Structure Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Director of AI & Data Engineering to lead the development and implementation of the company's AI and data strategies. This role involves collaborating with various departments, including Discovery, Preclinical, Clinical, and General & Administrative functions, to drive scientific innovation in drug development through advanced AI and data engineering solutions.
The Senior Director will be responsible for developing and refining the enterprise AI/ML strategy, integrating it with a comprehensive data platform strategy that includes data lakes, warehouses, and analytics infrastructure. Key responsibilities include identifying and prioritizing high-impact AI/ML use cases, modernizing data platforms to support the AI/ML lifecycle, and acting as a thought leader on emerging AI/ML technologies and ethical practices.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree (Master's or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, or a related field. A minimum of 12 years of experience in IT, Data Science, Data Engineering, AI/ML, or related disciplines is required, with at least 5 years leading AI/ML initiatives and enterprise-scale data platforms in biotech, pharma, or highly regulated industries. Strong knowledge of biopharma AI/ML use cases and supporting data ecosystems, as well as hands-on expertise with modern data architectures and cloud platforms, is essential.
The anticipated base salary for this role ranges from $265,000 to $334,000 annually, depending on factors such as geography, qualifications, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, the compensation package includes an annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and ongoing performance-based equity.
