Senior DevSecOps Engineer
Gong is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our rapidly expanding R&D team in New York City. This role is integral to designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on security. As a key member of our U.S.-based DevSecOps function, you will collaborate closely with global Engineering, Security, and IT teams to ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and high-performing.
In this position, you will be responsible for deploying and continuously improving secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS. Your duties will include designing and implementing best security practices and tooling for CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and enhancing developer experience. Additionally, you will automate and streamline operations and processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineering roles, with a proven track record in building and operating scalable cloud environments, preferably AWS. A deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code and GitOps methodologies, such as Crossplane, Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi, is essential. Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, CircleCI) and extensive experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production are required. Strong knowledge of computer networking fundamentals, REST architecture, and cloud security concepts is also necessary.
