Xometry is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our cost prediction team. This role involves developing predictive models using machine learning techniques to forecast business outcomes, with a focus on 3D data analysis. The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing our digital marketplace by providing accurate cost predictions that support our manufacturing partners and clients.

Key responsibilities include developing and optimizing predictive models utilizing 3D data, preparing and cleaning datasets for analysis, and leveraging cloud resources such as Amazon Web Services for data processing. The role also involves querying databases like Snowflake and MongoDB, and using tools like SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and Looker to inform business strategies. The candidate will be expected to iterate solutions in a fast-paced environment and tackle complex, uncharted problems collaboratively.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, or engineering, with a preference for those holding an M.S. or Ph.D. in a related field. A minimum of five years' experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques is required, along with at least two years' experience in 3D deep learning, including Mesh, Volumetric, and Point Clouds. Proficiency in Python and a strong foundation in linear algebra and statistics are essential. Familiarity with scientific software principles and experience in the manufacturing industry are desirable. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders due to ITAR regulations.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $182,000 annually, plus an annual bonus, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
