Senior Data Scientist
ALO is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of analytics and growth strategies across its retail operations. This role involves managing and analyzing large datasets, developing statistical models and machine learning algorithms, and providing insights to drive business growth. The Senior Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, and engineering, to develop data-driven solutions that enhance customer experience and drive business growth.
Key responsibilities include supporting the development of e-commerce and retail analytics strategies, conducting market research, customer segmentation, and predictive modeling. The role also involves building and maintaining dashboards and reports that visualize data insights and performance metrics for executive leadership. Additionally, the Senior Data Scientist will communicate complex data insights and models to non-technical stakeholders and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science, with a preference for a PhD or M.S. degree in disciplines like CS, Statistics, ML, Physics, Economics, or Mathematics. A minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, particularly in DTC, e-commerce, or retail analytics, is required. Proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms, experience with programming languages such as Python or R and SQL, and strong communication and presentation skills are essential. Leadership experience, including managing and mentoring a team of data scientists, is also desired.
The base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $200,000 per year, with actual salaries varying based on factors including location, experience, and performance. Additional rewards may include performance bonuses, long-term incentives, a PTO policy, and other progressive benefits.
