Senior Data Product Manager, Core Data

The Senior Data Product Manager, Core Data at Similarweb is responsible for leading the strategy, architecture, and execution of foundational data products that power the company's digital intelligence platform. This role is central to Similarweb's data innovation efforts, collaborating across multiple business units and platform products to define, deliver, and scale data assets that are critical to the company's market differentiation. The position reports to the Director of Product Management, Core CI.

Key responsibilities include owning the vision and roadmap for foundational datasets, defining success criteria such as coverage, accuracy, freshness, and stability, and leading the design of scalable, modular data structures. The role also involves introducing and maintaining data quality frameworks, including validation rules, monitoring, logging, alerting, and governance mechanisms. Additionally, the Senior Data Product Manager will prototype new metrics and datasets, experiment with internal and external data sources, and define validation strategies to ensure data integrity.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in data product management or equivalent technical product roles in a big data environment. They should have a proven track record in owning large-scale data systems and leading cross-functional data initiatives involving data engineering, data science, and analytics teams. Hands-on experience with large-scale data collection, classification, curation, and delivery systems is essential, as is practical exposure to AI/ML productization. Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, the ability to define validation frameworks, and excellent communication abilities are also required.
