Senior Data Engineer

Xometry is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Marketplace Services team. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining core data pipelines and models that drive our business performance. As a key player in our rapidly growing company, your contributions will have a significant impact on our operations.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining robust data pipelines using tools such as dbt, Dagster, Snowflake, Estuary, and Airbyte. Additionally, you will design and operate cloud-based data infrastructure on AWS, optimizing for scale and cost efficiency. Building internal self-service tools to expedite data team deliverables is also a key aspect of this role.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and has over five years of experience as a software or data engineer in dynamic environments. Proficiency in cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, expertise in ETL processes, data modeling, and version control are essential. Familiarity with AWS data ecosystems, data extraction tools, programming languages such as Python or JavaScript, and business intelligence tools like Looker is highly desirable. Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools is also beneficial.
