Point is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its dynamic data team, which supports over 15 business functions within the company. This role involves managing and enhancing a substantial dbt platform, developing and optimizing ETL pipelines, and overseeing Snowflake infrastructure. The position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the company's decision-making processes and participate in emerging AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining dbt models across various data marts, building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow, and handling Snowflake DDL deployments and permissioning. The role also involves ensuring the reliability of numerous data source integrations, driving cost optimization efforts, and supporting CI/CD pipelines for dbt Cloud and Astronomer deployments. Additionally, the Senior Data Engineer will collaborate with analysts and data scientists to build data marts and contribute to AI/ML initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, with significant hands-on experience in dbt and SQL development. Deep expertise in Snowflake, including DDL management and performance tuning, is essential. Proficiency in Python for data pipeline development, experience with Apache Airflow, and a solid understanding of data modeling are also required. Strong Git workflows and excellent troubleshooting skills are necessary, along with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation for this role varies based on geographic location, with annual base salaries ranging from $154,850 to $196,350.
