Senior Data Engineer (Perp DEX)

The Senior Data Engineer (Perp DEX) role at Hyphen Connect involves leading the development of robust data architectures within a decentralized exchange environment. The successful candidate will oversee the entire data lifecycle, from ingestion to insight, ensuring the infrastructure is high-performing and scalable to meet the demands of a fast-paced business environment.

Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and sophisticated ETL processes to support complex data ecosystems. The role also involves enhancing data warehouse performance, implementing rigorous data quality frameworks to ensure reliability, and collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams to translate business requirements into actionable data solutions. Additionally, the engineer will develop automated monitoring systems to proactively identify and resolve pipeline bottlenecks and execute high-priority, ad-hoc data requests and critical analyses to support urgent stakeholder decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in dedicated Data Engineering roles, preferably within a high-growth environment. They should possess deep expertise in data architecture, warehouse design (e.g., Star/Snowflake schemas), and modern ETL/ELT best practices. Proficiency in the modern data stack, including Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt, as well as strong skills with AWS services and experience managing distributed systems, are essential. Hands-on experience with data streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis is also required.
