The Senior Counsel, Life at Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is a pivotal role within the Center for Life, dedicated to defending the sanctity of life and protecting the rights of unborn children and their mothers. The position is available in Scottsdale, AZ, and Lansdowne, VA.
In this role, the Senior Counsel will lead and litigate high-profile lawsuits supporting unborn babies and their mothers, as well as defending pro-life advocates. Responsibilities include developing litigation strategies, drafting briefs, motions, and memoranda, representing clients in court, conducting advanced legal research, and supervising and mentoring junior attorneys. The position also involves interacting with media regarding cases and issues, advising allied attorneys, and participating in speaking engagements and other events.
Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, an active license in at least one U.S. state bar, and the capability to meet admission requirements in the relevant jurisdiction within one year. Preferred qualifications include first-chair experience and over 10 years of experience in civil litigation, particularly in constitutional claims and First Amendment cases.
