The Senior Counsel, Investigations & Oversight at Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is a pivotal role within the Counter Censorship Task Force. Key responsibilities include leading investigations into censorship-related systems, networks, and institutional relationships affecting free expression and religious liberty both domestically and internationally. The Senior Counsel will analyze the structure, governance, funding, and coordination of institutions involved in censorship initiatives, identifying patterns and vulnerabilities relevant to censorship systems. Additionally, the role involves designing and overseeing transparency initiatives, including public records and information requests at various governmental levels, and producing investigative memoranda and analytical reports to support legislative oversight and accountability efforts.
Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. A bachelor's degree is also required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conducting complex investigations, analyzing intricate systems, and synthesizing complex information into actionable insights. Experience in public records and information requests, as well as familiarity with legislative oversight processes, is highly desirable.
