Senior Computer Vision Scientist, 3D
Xometry is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Scientist to join our cost prediction team. This role involves developing predictive models using 3D data and machine learning techniques to forecast various business outcomes. The successful candidate will collaborate within a team-driven environment that encourages continuous learning and innovation.
Key responsibilities include utilizing data science and machine learning principles to create effective predictive models with 3D data. The role also involves writing software to prepare, clean, and sample data, leveraging cloud resources for data processing, querying databases, and employing data analysis and visualization tools to inform business strategy. The candidate will be expected to iterate solutions in a fast-paced environment and solve challenging, uncharted problems.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in applied math, computer science, natural sciences, or engineering, with an M.S. or Ph.D. in a related field highly desired. A minimum of 5 years of experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques is required, along with at least 2 years of experience in 3D deep learning, including Mesh, Volumetric, and/or Point Clouds. Proficiency in Python and a strong foundation in linear algebra and statistics are essential. Familiarity with scientific software principles and experience in the manufacturing industry are also desired. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders due to ITAR requirements.
The estimated base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $182,000 annually, plus an annual bonus, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
