Senior BSA/AML Investigator

The Senior BSA/AML Investigator at xAI will be a key member of the Legal & Compliance Team, focusing on detecting, preventing, and reporting financial crimes. This role is integral to maintaining an effective BSA/AML and Sanctions compliance program, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. The position is based in New York, NY.

In this role, the investigator will independently handle complex alerts and cases from transaction monitoring systems, conducting thorough analyses of payment flows and user behaviors. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), assisting with Know Your Customer (KYC) and onboarding processes, and performing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk users and transactions. The investigator will also collaborate with internal teams on compliance initiatives and new product launches.

Candidates should have over four years of hands-on experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), preferably within fintech or banking sectors. A strong understanding of BSA/AML laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act, is essential. Experience in preparing and filing SARs, familiarity with financial crime risks in digital payments, and the ability to drive operational changes are highly valued.
