Senior AI Platform Engineer
The Senior AI Platform Engineer will join Wellhub's Product Development team, focusing on the ML Development Lifecycle. Wellhub is a global corporate wellness platform headquartered in New York City, connecting employees worldwide to fitness, mindfulness, therapy, nutrition, and sleep resources through a unified subscription. This role is remote and based in Brazil.
In this position, the engineer will evolve and maintain Wellhub's Kubeflow, Feast, and Spark-on-Kubernetes infrastructure to support the increasing complexity of both traditional machine learning and emerging AI technologies. Responsibilities include designing internal tools, APIs, and abstractions that empower distributed teams to manage their entire lifecycle autonomously. The role also involves collaborating with Data Science teams to adapt software engineering best practices to machine learning workflows, driving MLOps and LLMOps best practices, and integrating machine learning artifacts into global Data Catalog, Privacy, and Governance frameworks.
Candidates should possess a platform-as-a-product mindset, balancing distributed team autonomy with global platform standards. Required competencies include deep experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Crossplane), and observability; hands-on mastery of Kubeflow, Spark, AWS ecosystem, and Kubernetes; strong Python skills focused on building reusable libraries, APIs, and tooling abstractions; and the ability to translate complex use cases into scalable solutions in partnership with Data Science teams.
