The Senior Accountant role at Xometry India is a comprehensive, hands-on position responsible for the full-cycle accounting of the India entity. This includes managing the general ledger, executing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, and performing detailed balance sheet and profit and loss analyses. The role also oversees end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring adherence to local statutory, regulatory, and corporate requirements. Additionally, the Senior Accountant coordinates all statutory and internal audits, including SOX support, and handles direct and indirect tax compliance, such as GST, TDS, and corporate income tax computations. The position involves working within company ERP systems, identifying opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes, and partnering closely with U.S.-based accounting, finance, payroll, and FP&A teams.

Key responsibilities include owning full-cycle accounting for the India entity, such as journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations. The Senior Accountant executes and supports monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. They prepare and review balance sheet and profit and loss analyses, investigating and resolving variances. Managing accounts payable processes, including vendor setup, invoice processing, payment runs, and expense reimbursements, as well as overseeing accounts receivable, billing, collections, and cash application, are also part of the role. Ensuring compliance with local statutory, regulatory, and corporate requirements in India, coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, and corporate secretarial firms for statutory audits and filings, and supporting internal controls and SOX-related documentation are essential duties. The Senior Accountant works with tax consultants for GST filings, TDS filings, corporate income tax computations, and withholding tax compliance, and monitors changes in local tax laws to assess accounting and compliance impact.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and over five years of progressive accounting experience. Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting, understanding of US GAAP and India statutory accounting requirements, and experience with GST, TDS, corporate tax, and statutory audits in India are necessary. Prior experience working with or for a US-based or multinational company is a plus, along with working knowledge of ERP systems and intermediate-level Excel skills. Preferred qualifications include professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, or CS, experience in a public company and/or SOX environment, experience helping stand up or scale a new legal entity, and exposure to global intercompany accounting and consolidations.
