Senior Accountant

Datavant is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As a leader in health data exchange, we are dedicated to making health data secure, accessible, and actionable. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing and uploading journal entries for balance sheet and expense accounts, maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and leading the preparation, review, and posting of monthly accruals. Additionally, the role involves partnering with the Accounts Payable team to resolve discrepancies, improve workflows, and strengthen internal controls, as well as monitoring invoice accruals versus actuals and providing insights to business partners on spending patterns.

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related position, with a strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX. Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and Google Sheets, are essential. Experience with accounting and ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience with accrual accounting and Accounts Payable systems and process flows, such as Coupa, and demonstrate strong familiarity with month-end close and general ledger processes. The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are also required.
