Seamless Designer
ALO is seeking an experienced Seamless Apparel Designer to lead the creation of innovative seamless garments, focusing on activewear, athleisure, and performance wear. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop high-performance apparel using seamless knitting technologies, aligning with ALO's aesthetic and ethos.
Key responsibilities include designing seamless garments such as activewear, athleisure, shapewear, and other performance-related apparel, with a strong focus on women's apparel and partial involvement in men's ideation and execution. The designer will work under the direction of the Senior Designer and Creative Director to execute ALO's design vision. Travel to seamless suppliers is required to collaborate with vendors from concept to production stages, ensuring product design and fit intentions are met. Additional duties involve creating technical sketches, conducting fabric research, and managing design projects from concept through final production.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field, along with over three years of experience in seamless apparel design, particularly in activewear or performance wear. Proficiency in seamless knitting machines (e.g., Santoni) and garment construction is essential. Experience with 3D design software such as CLO or Browzwear, knowledge of yarn properties, fabric behavior, and textile technology, as well as strong sketching and technical drawing abilities, are also required. Excellent project management, communication, and teamwork skills are crucial for success in this role.
The base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000 per year. Additional rewards may include performance bonuses, long-term incentives, a PTO policy, and various progressive benefits.
