Scientist, In Vivo CAR-T Therapy
Legend Biotech US is seeking a Scientist specializing in In Vivo CAR-T Therapy to join their Research and Development team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is integral to advancing cell and gene therapy platforms, focusing on in vivo CAR-T development from early discovery through preclinical stages. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate novel scientific concepts into therapeutic candidates.
Key responsibilities include designing, planning, and executing experimental studies to evaluate product potency, efficacy, and safety. The role involves developing and optimizing experimental assays and laboratory methods, such as cell line engineering, cell-based functional and cytotoxicity assays, ELISA and PCR-based assays, high-throughput binder screening, and viral vector packaging and titration. Additionally, the scientist will analyze and interpret complex scientific data, maintain accurate experimental records, and prepare detailed technical reports and presentations to communicate research findings.
Candidates should possess a PhD in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a closely related field, with at least two years of hands-on experience in cell and/or gene therapy research. Proficiency in cell biology and molecular biology techniques, virology, and viral vector systems (e.g., lentivirus) is essential. Experience with mammalian cell culture, immune cell handling, flow cytometry, and immunoassays is also required. Strong data analysis, organizational, and problem-solving skills are crucial, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
The position offers a competitive annual salary of $119,692, with additional performance-based bonuses and/or equity available to eligible employees.
